Joni Rodgers, author of
Bald in the Land of Big Hair
welcomes you to
chemoheads.com
a resource center for people living with cancer

Welcome…

Wish you weren't here. I wish I was a super-model, and you were visiting my web site to discover the secret of my perfectly arched eyebrows. Instead, I'm someone who used to have no eyebrows at all, and you're probably in that shell-shocked phase between a cancer diagnosis and the rest of your life.

In November 1994, I was a 32-year-old working mom and suddenly--a cancer patient. I was given less-than-coin-toss odds of long term survival, but almost a decade later, I'm more alive than ever. Chemo was tough. But it was worth it.

Take heart, friend.  And take action! Cancer happens in your body. Survivorship happens in your head. It's not about the length of time--it's about the depth of joy, the strength of hope, and the immeasurable distance we're willing to travel for the ones we love.

Peace be with you, along with healing vibes and renewed energy for the continuing journey.

Shalom and best ~

Joni
